Volunteer Needed ---2009 Fall Tree Planting -- Saturday, October 10, 2009 Volunteers are needed to help with the Woodruff Place West Drive tree planting which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 10---rain or shine. This is the fourth tree planting Woodruff Place has conducted in the last three years. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB), our partner, provides the trees at no cost to us. They select trees that are native to Indiana and will adjust well with existing trees. KIB also provides assistance and guidance with the actual planting and all the tools. Our responsibility is to water the trees for three years and provide volunteers to plant the trees. Residents from throughout the neighborhood (not just from West Drive) are urged to help with the planting. They should meet at 9 a.m. at the corner of Cross and West Drives --- rain or shine. We should be done well before noon. If you have questions call: Tom Gross 638-0462.
